Outlook showing emails as HTML Code

Question

Hi all,

I have a problem with Outlook where my emails(some emails) in one of my Yahoo mailboxes showing as HTML code for some odd reason, on the web it looks fine.

I have other Google and Yahoo mailboxes in my Outlook and they all work fine, tried re-adding it, made no difference.

This is a well known problem involving the Windows 10/11 Mail app and some Yahoo mail messages.

There isn't fix for this. The workaround is to read these messages at https://mail.yahoo.com

1. Could you please confirm if you are running Windows 10 or 11?
2. Please make sure to check your Windows updates via Windows and updates on settings.
3. attempt a fresh installation of the program and check the same email.
