phone alias Reusable?

one phone number is an alias of a MS account. After deleting the phone from the MS account or closing the MS account, can this phone number be used again to be an alias to another MS account?

    Yes, a phone number used as an alias can be moved to another account.

    Note: a phone number cannot be used as a contact method for security as long as it is an account alias.

    When closing an account, the phone number would not be available to be an alias or for security until the 60-day closing period has passed.
