Is it possible to configure HTML signature on IOS outlook mobile app?

I think currently Outlook app for ios and andriod does not support HTML signatures which are required for an image in a signature to show. The mobile app uses plain text and probably converts the image in your signature to a plain text format.

My signature contains my business card's QR code and I've tried multiple ways to solve this issue but no results. So if there is anyone who knows the solution please help me through this :)

Thanks and regards.

It boggles my mind how does the Microsoft product managers disregards the most basic of the basics feature before going prod even at version1 level. Mobile computing is so ubiquitous and not focus of this simple feature is amazing!

    Dear Fawad,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

It is understand from your description that you want to configure HTML signature on Outlook mobile app for iOS. Unfortunately, Outlook app for iOS and Android does not support HTML signatures by default. The mobile app uses plain text and probably converts the image in your signature to a plain text format.

However, from search, I also found with third party tool we can set this, so here sharing some details, you can try and check the result:

    • Design your HTML email signature with third party tool (like free email signature generator or any other HTML editor of your choice).

    • Send yourself an email that includes your HTML email signature from another device or web-based email client.

    • Open this email in Outlook for iOS and copy the signature by selecting it and tapping Copy.

    • Go to your Settings and tap Mail.

    • Tap Signature and delete your current signature if you have one.

    • Paste the HTML signature that you copied earlier and save the changes.

Now, you should be able to use your HTML email signature in Outlook for iOS. You can also use this method to create rich HTML signatures on iPhone and iPad for the Mail app.

Hope this can help you, if there is any deviation in my understanding, please forgive me and provide me with more details, I am more than willing to continue to help you!

I wish you all the best!

    Hello

I am trying to do the same.

However, the issue is that if the copied html signature contans images, they disappear once the signature is saved and you get missing image object.

This is probably because outlook is looking for a local image that doesn't exist.

On the other hand, adding a local image works but the image cannot be hot linked with url.

So it looks like the signature in outlook mobile is half baked and should be fixed to do one of the following:

    1. If copying and pasting html signature - all images should be saved localy so they are available for outlook.

    Or

    1. Fix the signature editor so users can assign url to images

This shouldn't be too hard to implement but will bring outlook closer to perfection 😉

    Thanks

    Eyal

This seems like such an easy fix, I don't understand why Microsoft can't/won't implement this. I will do it for them if they give me access.

    Dear Eleni,

This way to do it does discard any link to images, like web hosted logo. Is there a workaround?
