Why Microsoft doesn't sending any verification code to my phone number?

My Microsoft account has no phone number. So, I want to add a phone number. But Microsoft doesn't send any verification code. I've been waiting for a week but hasn't received any verification yet. I have been trying for several times but no veil.

    Thank you so much for your reply and explanation.

    Since you are not receiving the code and do not have the call option, I recommend contacting support at the bottom of the page. Follow these steps:

    1. Select "Other products" from the "Products and services" menu.
    2. Click on "Category" and select "Manage Account Security."
    3. Confirm your selection, then select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser.

    3. There's no call option here. They say,"Enter the code we sent to your phone.

    I don't know why it's happening. But I want to add my phone number as soon as possible for security concern.

    1. May I confirm, are you able to receive other messages on your phone?
    2. Have you tried restarting your phone or putting your SIM card in another phone?
    3. Try choosing the call option to receive the verification code instead of the message verification code.
    4. Make sure to set up another email address as a recovery email to receive the verification code in case you lose your SIM card or face the same issue. This way, you can get the verification code via your recovery email address.
