Locked outlook.com account

Tried to send a regular email (responding to a previous email thread) to 4 regular contacts.

The email was locked and my account suspended (Violated MS terms of use)

I verified my account with SMS passcode and tried to send myself a test email... locked again

Did that a few times, filled a form and it came back the next day but my Onedrive access was blocked...

Filled another form and Onedrive came back after 24h... then everything fine a couple days.

Send a regular email to two regular contacts this morning (forward of previous email with plain text) and it locked again!

Tried to verified again but when I enter the code I get "You've requested too many codes this week. Please try again in a week."

Tried to fill the form with tons of uestions to reset my access... got the reset PW email. Changed it to get back to "suspended account" message.

I'm stuck... no way to get back access. Blocking my email but also Onedrive and OneNote which contains all my electronic life!!!

Extra info: I noticed lots of unsuccessful connection attempts from several countries in my account (before being locked out of it). Clicking on it, I got a message "nothing required from you since the attempt was blocked". Probably related but I have no way of blocking people trying to connect...

    Hi Mostafa,

Thanks for your assistance. Using my M365 business account to reply since I can't login with my locked outlook account!

    • I just went through the procedure at https://account.live.com/acsr this morning and got an email back with a link to reset my password, which I did.
    • I cleared my Google Chrome cache and cookies (I can't use Edge since it is trying to login with my outlook account!)
    • I tried to login with my new password but I still come back with the screen that my account is locked... I only did a password reset!
    • When I request an SMS code to unlock, I get the same message that "You've requested too many codes this week. Please try again in a week."
    • Back to quare one.

I tried to access the link "to know why the account was blocked" you but it is in spanish. I've seen it before and there is no reason to block my account, I change my password on a regular basis and my account is not compromised, I use it with a limited number of known contacts, no bad content... I only have several login attempts (probably with an old stolen PW) that are being blocked. My account is clearly flagged as a spammer since I'm being locked after sending myself a test email...

Unless you have another option, I guess I need to wait a week to get anoter SMS code but I'm not too confident it will resolve my situation. I worked at Microsoft 12 years and understand this is a consumer ad-based free email and there is not much support.. unfortunately.

Right now I don't have access to email, so missed show ticket presale this morning and certainly several important emails. No sync of Onedrive, OneNotes and no access to Microsoft To-do. I didn't relaize how much I am relying on this account in my life and that will certainly change. :(

Hello! My name is Mostafa, and I’m an independent advisor and a long-time Microsoft user.

I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you with this so that you find a satisfactory solution.

All I would advise now is to allow the account for a while then follow the same procedure to unblock your account and everything will be fine. https://account.live.com/acsr

If your account gets unblocked, kindly clear your browser cache and cookies then log in again.

At this point do not perform any task on the account just let it be for a while so it won't get blocked again.

It is important to know why the account was blocked, to find out why I ask you to access the link below.

I hope the above steps helped you. In case of additional questions, reach out back to me, and I will be happy to help and try my best to resolve your issue. Thank you.

    Best,

    Mostafa
