My reading pane for e-mails gets incredibly small when there are lots of information at the top. Reading longer mails while more than half of the screen of my small laptop is occupied with something else than the text I would like to read is quite painful. Is there a way to enhance the actual size of reading pane in relation to my screen??

Hi Momo,
thank you for your answer but I already checked Use and configure the Reading Pane to preview messages (microsoft.com) and this would not solve my problem.
The screenshot you see in my original question was made after I double clicked the email. If I don't maximize the email like that the reading pane is even smaller.
It would be a nice feature if one could minimize/hide all the stuff above the reading pane which I marked red in my screenshot.
Best regards,
Lukas

Hi Lukas
Greetings
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.
I've tested on my end and could not find ways to increase the reading pane size , however please try to split the message window to break up a long message so you may view two sections of the message, you may refer to Use and configure the Reading Pane to preview messages (microsoft.com)
When you double click on the email and maximize your Outlook page does the size remain the same? generally the option to scroll at the right hand side of the reading pane was added to help scroll down when long emails are received.
Kind Regards,
Momo
