Hello,

so I've searched via google because I thought it's going to be simple to find it, and yet...
Anyway, I don't have such an option to use a black theme with a white background of messages?

BR,
Petar

Okay, it turns out the checkbox appears only with the white theme.

So if someone else bumps into this thread:

Switch to white, check it, and then switch back to black.

    Hi Matrim.Cauthon,

    Thanks for replying.

So sorry to reply so late because I was OOF these days. So sorry to bring you inconvenience.

The second screenshot you gave you is about Microsoft Excel for Microsoft 365, so please be kindly to tell me you want set this option in Outlook or Excel? If you want to set this option in Excel, Excel does not have this option.

And you want to set this in outlook, but still cannot see the option. Since you said you have already got E3 subscription, so please try to un-install the office application and download the office from the portal in Download and install or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2021 on a PC or Mac again. The application download here is about for business. And then check whether you can find this option on your outlook.

    Thanks for understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Katherine

It says it's up to date.

The installation I'm using started as Home and business 2019, then my license got upgraded to E3, so now I'm using Office 365.

    Hi Matrim. Cauthon,

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your requirement. So sorry to bring you convenience. First, you need to make sure you are using Outlook for Microsoft 365, if you use Outlook 2016 ,outlook 2019 or outlook 2021 and so on. As you can see through the document ,this feature cannot be used. Your understanding is highly appreciated. Here is the reference: Dark Mode in Outlook (microsoft.com).

If you use Outlook for Microsoft365, I did a test for you. Through my test, it seems the option is still persists.

So please be kindly to choose another Theme (such as colorful) then click Ok. After it, open file and choose black Theme again to check if the option will show up.

If it does not appear, please make sure your outlook is update to date. If not, you can update your outlook and check the result.

If there is any update, please feel free to let me know.

Thank you so much for your precious time. Stay safe and healthy.

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

    Katherine
