Why did my Outlook Calendar Events Change Colors?

Question

I've had Outlook desktop since 2006. I'm currently using Outlook version 2208.

On Friday, when I left work, my Outlook event colors were blue. It had been that way since I started at this office. Here's an image of the colors. (It was for another question I ha so don't worry about the content, just the color theme.

Today, I arrived at work and see the calendar event items are a pink color.

I looked at this to see and there was a suggestion to look at the default calendar color. I did. It is blue.

What gives?

• May I please confirm if the affected Calendar is your default calendar or Primary Calendar? if yes, please Kindly right click on your affected Calendar --> Color --> Selelct Automatic --> untick your Calendar and tick again, then check if there is any difference. You can refer to the screenshot below.
• May I please confirm if the affected Calendar is a shared Calendar or secondary Calendar? to check this, please kindly Go to File --> Account Settings -->Account Settings --> under Email tab, check and make sure is the affected Calendar account is set as default account.
• May I please confirm if you set up custom Calendar view? if yes, please kindly Go to View --> Reset View, this will return your Calendar view to default.
• Could you please provide us with the screenshot of you Outlook version details? See What version of Outlook do I have? - Microsoft Support

I had a similar problem today. Prior to today, all my default appointments were blue. Then this morning they were all pink. I read a few comments above (thanks people) and found that there was an option on the VIEW menu ribbon, which was simply 'colour' and this was set to pink. I changed to to blue and everything went back to normal. Hope this helps someone.

I followed all your steps. The problem is I have a single color pallet option, which shifted over the weekend and created all of these pastel (ish) colors (as you show in your answer above). Prior, I had bold, bright colors which have been used at our firm to categorize meetings and contacts for years. Now it is shifted to this muted POS color pallet. Is there a way to add or revert to the old color pallet?

As a side note: The entire outlook change I walked into this morning has resulted in a slew of lost hours for me and my team. Give us a warning before you routinely change core functionality in these programs. My god, could you be less user friendly?

Why have all the calendar event colors changed. They are depressing. How can I change them back to the vibrant colors the were before
