Why do I keep getting sent a 6 digit code for MFA when it asks for a 7 digit code?

I have another Microsoft email account that I have not been able to sign into for about the last hour or so. I have MFA set-up on my account, so I enter a code each time I sign in.

Normally, I am sent a 7 digit authentication code. However, for the time period I have not been able to sign in, I keep getting 6 digit codes. I have tried having the code sent to me via text and email. Also tried all these methods on phone and my laptop. Nothing seems to work.

How do I fix this? I need to access this other email account soon.

Please help.

    This is an issue with almost every user at the moment, I need to let you know that a fix would be made on the outlook server of things in some hours, so do not worry, I just need you to exercise patience and wait at least a couple hours until this is fixed.
