Hi, and thanks for reaching out. My name is Miguel O., Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue!

If you received the message error Microsoft account does not exist, this can mean multiple things:

    1. The address was change and the original address becomes an alias, if that is the case you must log in using the new address.
    2. You closed your account If you closed your Microsoft account, you have 60 days from that closure to sign in and reopen it. After that 60 days, your account and data expire.
    3. Your account was closed because of inactivity If you haven't signed in to your account for a long time, it might expire due to inactivity

First I would recommend following the steps in this order to assist you with finding your username.

Lookup your username if you have security info set up on your account

If you previously set up security info on your Microsoft account, you can use this option to retrieve your username.

    1. Look up your username using your security contact phone number or email address.
    2. Request a security code to be sent to the phone number or email you used.
    3. Enter the code and select Next.
    4. When you see the account you're looking for, select Sign in.

You weren't able to find your username...

If the username lookup wasn't successful, for example you hadn't set up or no longer have access to your security contact information, try looking for your Microsoft account username within other products or services that you know are associated with that account. See
