Email Alias Limitations

I'm attempting to add an appropriate email alias to my account, but I didnt realise when doing it that there are limits to the number of aliases you can have and limites to how often you can add them.

The only way I know to check an alias' availability seems to be to apply for it. I found and then decided against 3 potentials alias' and now I'm getting the following error message: "We limit how frequently you can add aliases to your account. Please try again later."

Ive read historic Q&A from 2013 saying that there's a limit of 10 new alias' per year, regardless of whether youve deleted those alias'.

Is that still the case and what are the limitations on finding, adding and deleting alias' please?

How long will I now have to wait to add another?

Is there some way of checking an alias' availability without using up my quota of alias'?

thanks in advance

Hi. I'm Brian and I will do my best to help you.

Please see this thread, in particular the post by Karl Timmermans. It contains the explicit rules regarding adding aliases: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com...
