Postmaster Bouncing Emails Automatically Without Approval

I use Office 365 and have a business that I send out monthly e-blasts through iContact for - These emails reach all of my customers, but will not send to myself or anyone else in my organization. iContact's reason for the bounce reads "policy-related (550 Rejected by header based Anti-Spoofing policy: - [URL removed] [lP37zpErNPG2Wga1EQzEyw.us199])"

Why would this not send to even the very email that it originates from? It is never spam or fishing, as we only email people who directly sign up for our service.

Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello Stephen Fouch,

Good day! Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you.

Based on your description I understand you are getting a bounce back message when send an email to yourself and other users in your organization, but it is sending successfully to external users. Based on the error message you are getting it is suggesting the emails are rejected by an anti-spoofing policy set up in your own organization. To help us narrow down this issue kindly share the full error message and an extended message trace report for further analysis.

If you do not have access to the admin center, you can notify your I.t department or admin to help review message trace regarding this scenario.

To run the message trace, they can directly go to https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/messagetrace

Under default queries> Start trace> Add sender, recipient and specify date range >>search

If you may need assistance with analyzing message trace you can forward it to me via private message for further analysis.

To download the message trace, please choose extended message trace from the first picture or prepare extended message trace as highlighted in the second picture. Extended message trace would be more convenient in filtering the results using excel.

For more information message trace kindly refer to this link Run a Message trace in EAC.

Below are the steps to View private messages:

    • click on Profile Picture at top of the right side > Select My Profile option.
