WEBP not showing in Outlook desktop on windows.

Hi,

I've created an ecommerce mail for my company. We recently started upgrading our content into WEBP.

After doing a test mail it has become apparent that the WEBP images are not showing up in the mail on desktop.

Am I doing something wrong or is microsoft outlook on desktop not supporting WEBP images in 2023??

Kind regards

Mitchell

I think you are using the browser based outlook. And while it works there I cannot rely on customers to use the browser view to show the email correctly.

Lots of people are still using the desktop app in which WEBP does not seem to be supported.

    Hi Mitchell,

I am using the Desktop app. Take a look at the desktop app right top corner, you will see the wording "Try the new Outlook" and click on the turn on button. Restart your outlook desktop app and check if you can see your WEBP content.

I just did all these things few hours ago, and now I can see my company logo (in WEBP) in my ecommerce email.

Try out the new Outlook. The WEBP is working fine for me when turning on the new Outlook.
