Hi

I hope someone can help please. Every time I open a new email or start creating a new meeting invite in Outlook, I keep getting the below window pop-up. It's super frustrating.

I'm running Microsoft Outlook for Mac and using Version 16.66.1.

Thanks!

    Hi,

I had this issue as well, turns out it happens only when I run outlook in debug mode.

To solve it I simply ran this command in console:

' defaults write com.microsoft.Outlook OfficeWebAddinDeveloperExtras -bool false '

    Dear Justine Tarrant,

Thank you for the detailed reply and update.

So I'm hesitant to tinker with profiles in case it impacts Salesforce's performance again (it took a VERY long time to solve).

Is there another work around? I tried opting out as per these instructions: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/viva/insights/personal/use/add-in#to-opt-out

Based on your reply, I researched and also consulted with my team on this.

I kindly wanted to bring to your attention that we have a dedicated Outlook for Mac support team. This team can assist further on this scenario and can offer a more accurate work around after running diagnostics and also getting detailed logs for your current set up.

To contact Outlook for Mac: Contact support within Outlook for Mac (microsoft.com)

    1. Go to Help > Contact Support. Shows help menu with contact support option
    2. Enter your NameEmail, issue that you are experiencing and select Send. Shows in-app support form

And when you get a message from support, you will be notified through the OSX notification center, and a notification message will be displayed on the status bar.

I appreciate your time and understanding.

    Sincerely,

    Anesu | Microsoft Community Moderator

    Hi Anesu

    Thanks for your quick response!

Re your question For clarity when the developer window appears, are you able to access the new email/meeting window (Does the developer window stay open or disappears after)?

Yes, I can still access the email/meeting window. The pop-up happens in the bottom left hand corner – below is a full screen pic for reference. And yes, it does disappear after a little while. It's just frustrating as it covers buttons in Outlook I frequently use plus it's super distracting.

I have recently tried creating a New Outlook Profile, as I was having a long running issue with the Salesforce add-on and attempting to create a new profile was one of the processes we went through to try resolve the issue. It didn't resolve the Salesforce issue, but the issue is now resolved through other means.

    Thanks again!

    Justine
