Outlook app for Mac - Failure code: 332

Hi community,

Need some help with my outlook app (MacBook)!

I'm receiving emails but I cannot send any email, keeps saying "Undeliverable"

We couldn't deliver your message.Original message detailsCreated date: 9/6/2022 11:46:13 PMSender address: Recipient addresses: Subject: TestTechnical details MessageDeliveryFailedException: Could not deliver the message [len=70, data=00000000CD1DDBDD2D457045B2535B5C357EB98B070076C5EBFC5002E542B946F68C54A1176700000000010F000076C5EBFC5002E542B946F68C54A1176700000F00DE570000] sent at 9/6/2022 11:46:33 PM. Does anyone know why is happening this?

I already ask my IT department and the port number, the servers, user and password are correct (IMAP account)

Would appreciate some help with this issue that is driving me crazy!

According to your description, it seems when you deliver an email to recipient and you got the Non delivery report. Regarding this point, we kindly suggest you refer I can't send or receive messages with Outlook for Mac (microsoft.com) to get more details about why you are not available to send out emails in Outlook for Mac.

After check it, if every setting had set up properly as our official article provided but issue still persists, then we kindly suggest you refer Contact support within Outlook for Mac (microsoft.com) to contact our dedicated Outlook for Mac support team, for Outlook for Mac issues, experts there have abundant experience deal with it, they might available to provide further assists to help you to deliver your emails as normal.

    Hi Conny

    I would recommend contacting support.

    I spent about 45 minutes with Microsoft Support over the phone last night, they were most helpful but what I did discover is that there are some glitches with their new version of Outlook 365, so the technician walked me through some steps and have now reverted back to using their legacy version (so the older version before the new one was rolled out).

    He recommended I use the old version and at a later stage roll over to the new version.

    Microsoft IT are working on the issue at the moment.

    I was using Apple Mail as a workaround, but happy to be using old version of Outlook for now.

    Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm happy if Microsoft recognized they have a bug and will fix it.

    I will use Apple Mail and try again with Outlook in 1-2 months.

    Hi all

    I have the exact same problem as Ali. I set up Outlook 365 on my new Macbook Pro a few days ago. The connection (IMAP/SMTP) is fine and I can receive E-Mail ok.

    However when I send any Email, it looks fine in the first moment and goes to "Sent" folder of Outlook. But some hours later I receive a message from sender "Microsoft Outlook" saying the mail was undeliverable with failure code 332, as cited above. The other person did not receive the Email.

    I am using GMX Email. I can send Emails to the same recipients from my Iphone and from GMX webmail fine, the error only occurs in the Outlook App on my Macbook.

    Any solution found yet? Or should I contact support individually?

    P.S. As a workaround, I have set up Apple Mail. There sending and receiving works fine.

    Hi

    I can send emails from my Outlook but for some reason I can no longer receive emails, 4 days and counting...

    I sent a test email to myself and received this error email response:

    MessageDeliveryFailedException: Could not deliver the message [len=70, data=000000002A0E436C3665FF42A554D70C3FC6BCCC0700E28FEDE8DFF33C4687DB5455731ABDED00000000010F0000E28FEDE8DFF33C4687DB5455731ABDED00008756763C0000] sent at 9/12/2022 3:01:34 AM.
    Failure code: 332
    
    Note:  I can receive emails in Apple Mail but not outlook mail...
    
    Please can you advise me what to do further,
