Problems with senderdomain

Hi ,

Recently, I have used the ESP called Copernica to send batches of emails to a profile database. However, for many of the recipients we seem to be getting an error message. On top of which, the email does not seem to send. We are getting the following error message:

Recipient address rejected: Access denied. AS(201806281)

Base code: 550

Extended code: 5.4.1

According to copernica this seems to be caused by Outlook blocking our sender domain. Is this true, and how are we able to fix this?

Kind regards,

Oscar

    Hi Cindy,

I have checked the DNS settings and they all seem to be correct.

What would be the next step in fixing this problem?

    Kind regards,

    Oscar

    Hi,

My name is Cindy. I am sorry you are having this problem. I know it is really frustrating. I will do my best to help you with this problem.

Please note: This is a user-to-user community forum. We are users just like you who help others. We are not employees of Microsoft.

Here is a link that explains the possible problems. Since are using an outside vendor, one of the setting's DNS settings may not be correct or it can take up to 24-72 hours for the settings with the outside vender to take effect. These are the standard time frames when setting up the DNS settings. I have set up these settings many times over the years.

    Hi Vitor,

    Thanks for your response!

To further explain the problem, the DNS settings that we have now seem to be okay.

We sent out emails in a number of batches, of which around 20% seemed to bounce due to a number of different errors.

However, now all outlook adresses seem to reject our emails.

This is a probem of course because a large portion of our database consists of outlook users.

If the DNS settings all seem to be fine, what is the next step in trying to figure out how we can fix this problem?

    Kind regards,

    Oscar
