Adding a second email address with the same domain name.

I’m posting regarding a problem in Outlook when creating an additional email address with a similar domain name in any one “Profile”. i.e. ******@yyyyyyyy.com and ******@yyyyyyyy.com.

When I include the second address I get a “Certificate Internet Security Warning” which has to be acknowledge before I can carry on.

Let me explain further - If I am in the Outlook App and go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings > New.  I add an additional POP email named “example02@.....”, (having already created “example01@....”) I get the “certificate” message and can’t install the address.

BUT, if I go to Control Panel > Mail (Microsoft Outlook) > Profiles (and select a profile) > Properties > ”Setup email etc” Email Accounts > New. I can put in the same details as I was trying to do in the App but this time it accepts it without any warning messages etc and when I open the App, likewise, no messages!!

I have recently done Full Office Repair and this made no difference.

Any thoughts on this would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Hi Palcouk, thank you for your response.

My issue is that I cannot set up a domain duplicate email address within the Outlook App but I can, if I go the Control Panel route as you suggest.

So my question is, why can I not do it in the App.?

In Control Panel > Mail Applet unless you have multiple Profiles you just use the Email Account Btn > Email Tab > New For pop select other types)
