Corrupting / refusing to open / refusing to attach files

Currently having issues with attachments.

Attachments received outlook refuses to open and then corrupts the file

Attachments I try and add to emails refuse to add and Outlook states the attachments don't exist. Drag and drop doesn't work, and usual attachment function is hit and miss.

This is a nightmare.

    Thank you for the reply.

    I see. Let us repair the Office apps. Please follow the steps below:

    1. Press the Win + R button on the key and type Control Panel > Press enter button.
    2. Click on Uninstall a program.
    3. Click on Microsoft Office, and then click Change.
    4. Click QuickRepair, and then click Repair.

    Once done, restart your PC.

    Also, if that didn't help, please follow all the steps above and in step 4, please choose Online Repair.

    A few months now, it's just progressively getting worse. Outlook crashes regularly now as well. It's like it's sick and just degrading with each 'update' Microsoft force on me. I haven't changed any settings, the PC has been reset, the program has been closed and restarted. Nothing makes it better, it just gets worse with time.
