Outlook 365 - Modern Authentication / Basic Authentication Issues

I am attempting to set up my outlook 365 to have both my personal and work email addresses. I have been able to set up all my accounts except one being my work email. Using the exchange I enter the information. Immediately It prompts modern authentication which only allows me to put in an email address, which my user name is not and my email address does not work, then I attempt go through an organization, which again will not accept my email or username. Then I just close it out, and come to realize the account is added and it is sending and receiving without issue. Then the real problem is observed, periodically it will prompt to modern authentication again, and back to the previous statement... also every time I start to program this pop up is generated.

Why is this occurring, is it related to my work account.

Is there a way to just stop it from asking, as I had said the account works it just seems to keep on asking for something it doesnt need. BTW if I edit the registry to enableadal (0) on the "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity " the basic authentication prompt repeatedly pops up worst than modern and even with toying with the attempting log in I never seem to be able to satisfy the program :)
