I am trying to open a protected message with my icloud email account, but when i click the link to open the attachment it takes me to a webpage stating I will need a one-time passcode which has been sent to my email. When I check my email, the message never arrives - I have checked all folders and there is no confirmation code. Please advise.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

It looks like you can't open a protected message since you're not getting the One-time passcode. Let's work on this together in finding the best possible solution to this issue.

To better understand the situation, I would like to ask some questions, such as:

    • What device are you using in accessing your email account? Windows PC, MAC, iOS or Android
    • What email domain are you using? ex. Hotmail.com, Live.com, Outlook.com
    • Are you using the Outlook application or Outlook.com in the web?
    • Are you being prompted by the system where you can sign in and receive a single-use code?

While waiting for your response to our questions above, kindly check this support article on how to open a protected message - How do I open a protected message? - Microsoft Support

Looking forward for your response soon!

    Sincerely,

    Leonardo_Y
