Outlook Task reminders

I have a subscription to Microsoft 365 running on my Windows 10 PC. I use Outlook Tasks and reminders extensively. I rely on them. They are my "to do" list. It is my experience that reminders frequently do not display on the set date and time. To force them to display, I've discovered that I must restart Outlook at least weekly. For example, today my Reminder window showed 13 reminders before I restarted Outlook. After the restart, there were 43 reminders!! So, in a period of one week, 30 reminders had not displayed on time. This kind of thing happens almost every week. Why is this happening? Is there something I can do to improve the reliability of my Outlook Task reminders?

Thanks for the reply. I am using MS Outlook. My mail account in Outlook is IMAP/SMTP. My mail account is working fine. No problems. Outlook provides four main functions: Mail, Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks (see icons in the lower left of the Outlook window). As I said above, the Mail function is working fine. It is the Tasks function that I am talking about. I have used the Tasks function to create a large number of tasks, and for each task I have set a date/time reminder (e.g., Take out the trash on Monday 5/9/22 at 6 pm). Those reminders are supposed to appear in a Reminder(s) window on the date/time that they are scheduled, and stay there until the task is completed or rescheduled. It is those reminders that are going AWOL. Any ideas why?

Is this an exchange mail account or pop?

There would be no reminder window if you had not started MS Outlook, so do you mean Win 'To Do'?
