Dragging and dropping attachments & emails OR adding text to an outlook invite sent by another person

I have delegate access and I used to be able to drag/drop/add anything into my boss's calendar to ensure she had everything she needed for meetings etc. Now I can only do this for meetings I have sent from her calendar, but not for those that have been sent by others. Please can anyone help me find a workaround or solution to this very frustrating problem. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Ashraf

Thank you so much for your response. Unfortunately this security update has no workarounds for me to be able to efficiently and effectively help manage the documents, folders or attachments relating to specific meetings that come in via separate emails. I will have to start asking meeting organisers to send relevant documentation via the invite rather than by separate email, but I also use invites to add additional notes for my boss so she has extra information etc.

I have considered the other options you suggest (and have actioned the Safe Senders automation which is helpful thank you) but it doesn't let me edit an invite sent from that person, whether inside or outside my organisation which is such a disadvantage. Many of my colleagues use this way of working too, and so it will have quite a negative impact on the way we work sadly.

Thank you for your time. Regards, Elsa

How can I complain about this feature being removed? It's killed my productivity, I'm putting in double appointments now so that I can attach information.

    Hello Elsa,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I understand that you have an issue where a participant can't add notes to a meeting if they're not the organizer. I have gone through your description, and this looks like an effect of a recent update. My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Please note the last update has a security change in it that prevents edits from meetings sent to a participant. There are some alternate ways to save notes and files. Please see the Known Issue article for this update, Images are blocked and meeting body is read only in Outlook Desktop if calendar items are from other senders for Microsoft Outlook Spoofing Vulnerability released August 8, 2023 - Microsoft Support.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best Regards,

    Ashraf.
