Hotmail Desktop Junk Folder Issue

When I attempt to open the hotmail junk folder on my desktop I am unable to do so. The message that appears indicates that "something went wrong with the application; please refresh your browser." I try refreshing, nothing happens, so I have to open hotmail again. I am not having the issue with my mobile devices, only on the desktop. Any thoughts? I also tried opening the junk mail in the “settings” and that setting will not load.

Hi there! This is Raech. I'm an Outlook.com user like you and I'm happy to help.

It sounds like a known issue since several other users have reported the same. As of right now, there's no official word yet from Microsoft regarding this but hopefully it will be posted soon below.

I would recommend contacting support directly to investigate further.

    1. Sign in to Outlook.com.
    2. Click the ? icon (top right) and type in a keyword of the issue on the Search help box. Press enter.
    3. At the bottom where it shows (Still need help?), select Yes
    4. Click the option 'Provide your email address...' and type in your contact email.
    5. Hit Confirm and try to take note of your Request number for future reference.
    6. You will get an email from a support agent in the next 24-48 hours.

    Kind regards.
