When I attempt to access my account via 365 online portal...I receive the following

When I attempt to access Outlook via my desktop app...I receive the following: "updating office,
please wait a moment"...then after a minute or so, I get, "the application was unable to
start correctly (0xc0000142) Click ok to close application."
I can't open Word on my desktop either.
