Hi everyone,

I have 2 accounts connected in Outlook (a third-party address, and an Exchange address).

Clicking "reply" to mails that came to the Exchange account, uses the Exchange e-mail address by default.

Clicking "reply" to mails that came to the third-party account, uses the third-party account e-mail address by default.

For example, if the mail came to sale1@a, pressing reply, the default sending address will also be sale1@a .

If the mail came to Christian@P, then when I press reply, the default sending address will also be Christian@P

I want to my replies to always use the third party address, regardless of which address the mail came to.

Is there a way to change the default settings to do this?

Chris

    Hi @Christian Kl ,

As I know, there is no option in Outlook to force it to always reply with the email address of your default account, which is by design and we couldn't change it, for more information, please refer to this document : Change the account used to send email messages.

As a suggestion, vba script may have some effects in theory , due to here we mainly focus on general issues on Outlook desktop client and know little about Outlook. If you are familar with vba development, maybe you could try to research your own script and post the issue in relevant development forum when you have development issues.

Hope that would be helpful to you.

Yes, go to Options > Mail > Send messages > Always use the default account when composing new messages. And of course make sure that the third-party account is set as the default, if you need to adjust that the relevant controls are under File > Account Settings.
