Hey, thanks for answering....unfortunately is this not working....

If you enter this - then every single one a mail arrives in the mailbox - the sender recieves the messages, that the external adress is not allowed :

Remote server returned '550 5.7.520 Access denied, Your organization does not allow external forwarding. Please contact your administrator for further assistance. AS(7555)'

    Hi anneliesemislo,

    Good day.

Hope you are doing well you for posting in Microsoft Community.

Based on the error message, it usually happens when a message is detected as automatically forwarded, and the outbound spam filter policyblocks that activity.

To fix this problem, as you are the admin you need to check if external forwarding is enabled for your organization (or for your account). To check and allow external forwarding for the whole organization, please do the following steps:

    1. Sign to Office 365 admin center and navigate to Security > Threat management > Policy > Anti-spam
    2. Edit Outbound spam filter policy and set Automatic forwarding to On - Forwarding is enabled:

Or you can create a new custom outbound spam policy with the automatic external email forwarding on and assign this policy to your account. (Note: it may need some time for the changes to take effect).

For the detailed instructions, please see: Configure outbound spam filtering in EOP.

I hope this helps let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions .

    Best Regards

    Hi anneliesemislo,

    Good day.

Hope you are doing well you for posting in Microsoft Community.

By default, Exchange Online does not allow automatic external email forwarding. You need to configure some settings in your Microsoft 365 tenant to enable this feature.

So you want to use the Exchange admin center (EAC) to set up email forwarding for a mailbox. To do that, you need to follow these steps:

    • Sign in to the EAC as an administrator.
    • In the navigation pane, click Recipients, and then click Mailboxes.
    • Select the mailbox that you want to configure email forwarding for, and then click Edit.
    • In the mailbox properties page, click Mailbox features.
    • Under Mail flow, click View details next to Email forwarding.
    • In the email forwarding page, select Enable forwarding, and then click Browse.
    • In the select recipient page, search for and select the external email address that you want to forward emails to, and then click OK. If the external email address is not in your address book, you need to create a mail contact for it first.
    • Optionally, select Deliver message to both forwarding address and mailbox if you want to keep a copy of the forwarded emails in the original mailbox.
    • Click Save to apply the changes.

That’s it. You have successfully configured email forwarding for a mailbox using the EAC. You can test it by sending an email to the mailbox and checking if it is forwarded to the external email address.

I hope this helps let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions .

    Best Regards

I am friendly user. I will try to provide possible information.

Can you tell me did you receive any error when you forward email to external email address?

Are you end user or admin?

If you are end user, you will need to contact admin in your organization to double check if they have enabled external forwarding. Configuring and controlling external email forwarding in Microsoft 365 | Microsoft Learn

You can double check result via creating email forwarding from Outlook web app. Turn on automatic forwarding in Outlook - Microsoft Support

If you have created rule from Outlook, you can request to admin to configure email forwarding for you from admin center. Configure email forwarding - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn
