Account locked doom loop

My account froze the other day, and when I tried to log out and back in, it said it was blocked due to too many login attempts. I then followed the process to unlock it (using security code texted to phone and changing password) but every time I do that, it still says it is blocked due to too many wrong attempts. I’ve repeated the process several times over the past 3 days and it won’t work. What can I do? is some “bot” out there constantly pinging my account and freezing it indefinitely?

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, it looks like your account blocked due to multiple login attempts. As far as I know, there is no known cased that account is locked due to "BOT". Let's work on this issue together.

To better understand the situation, I would like to ask some questions, such as:

    • What email domain are you using? ex. Hotmail.com, Live.com, Outlook.com, etc.
    • Are you accessing your account using Outlook application or third-party mail app? please confirm

While waiting for your response, there are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Check for suspicious activity: Check your account activity to see if there are any suspicious login attempts or activity. If you notice any unauthorized access, change your password immediately and enable two-factor authentication.
    2. Use a different device or network: Try logging in from a different device or network to see if the issue persists. If it does not, it may be an issue with your original device or network.

If the issue persists after performing provided methods, consult this issue to our Live Support Team and see what option they can provide. It's best to work with them as they have all the necessary tools to further isolate the issue and have the option to remotely access your device to properly isolate the issue
