Authentic Microsoft Support Chat?

Hi,

I have a current question open: here

I was told to click this link https://support.office.com/home/chat is that a legit site?

I explained my issue and the agent asked for my email and phone number associated with the account along with proof of what I was experiencing and to upload my screengrabs via a separate link - which I did. I also gave my email and phone number. I was then asked what mobile operator I was with which rang alarm bells.

I then looked at the beginning of the chat and this is what the message reads:

Welcome to Microsoft Support. My name is X.

Please note that if you switch to another program or browser while chatting with me, our chat session may be disconnected.

For best customer experience, please stay active on this chat and respond 2-3 minutes to prevent disconnection.

For security and privacy reason, please do not send any personal information unless I ask you.

Here is the case number xxxxx

The grammatical error has me worried.

They've said to skip me telling them my phone provider and have sent a verification code to my email.

Is this legit??
