I get it, that's your iCloud account, it has nothing to do with Microsoft Cloud.

A Microsoft account has a separate cloud platform and doesn't use iCloud.

Try and download outlook app on your mac and login, instead of using the inbuilt mail app.

    Hi Taiwo,

You're correct, I can log in to the Outlook web version.

I saw in another response online that avoiding syncing with Microsoft Cloud can solve this issue, as shown in the screenshot provided by someone else.

    Hi Colin,

What do you mean by avoiding Microsoft Cloud?

You are using a MacBook from the image you shared, are you able to log in the Outlook on the web? And have you tried using the new Outlook app?

    Hello

I'm Colin and I‘m trying to log in to my Outlook email account, but it's showing an error message: 'We encountered an error while adding account. Please try again.' I want to resolve this issue by avoiding Microsoft Cloud. Do you have any other solutions? Thank you very much.

    Hello

I will be happy to answer your question, I'm Taiwo and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

Could you be more specific about your question? With a Microsoft account, you have access to OneDrive which is integrated with Outlook, So if you are saying you want to avoid Microsoft cloud I don't think that's possible.

If I am wrong regarding your question, you may do well to clarify that.

    Taiwo
