Hello! Atticus Lai
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community
It seems to me that you're experiencing issues with your emails in Outlook. This issue could be caused by a few different things, such as a problem with your internet connection or a problem with your Outlook settings.
To set your expectations, Microsoft has limited resources involving data loss because they may be caused by uncontrollable factors such as file corruption. Nevertheless, I will walk you through some steps in potentially locating or recovering the data you are contacting us about. Should they still be present on your machine, I assure you that we can recover them; however, should it be otherwise, the least I could do is to provide you some pieces of advice in preventing such predicament from happening again.
Allow me to ask:
- is this happening with other devices, browsers, and networks?
- Is this happening with other emails? or just specific emails?
- May I know if the account is for Work/School use? or Personal (Hotmail/Outlook.com) use?
Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check your internet connection: Make sure that you have a stable internet connection and that you're not experiencing any connectivity issues.
- Clear your browser cache: Clearing your browser cache can sometimes help resolve issues with web-based applications like Outlook. Here's how to do it in different browsers:
- Google Chrome: Click the three dots in the top right corner, then click "More tools" > "Clear browsing data". Make sure that "Cached images and files" is selected, then click "Clear data".
- Mozilla Firefox: Click the three lines in the top right corner, then click "Options" > "Privacy & Security". Under "Cookies and Site Data", click "Clear Data". Make sure that "Cached Web Content" is selected, then click "Clear".
- Microsoft Edge: Click the three dots in the top right corner, then click "Settings" > "Privacy, search, and services". Under "Clear browsing data", click "Choose what to clear". Make sure that "Cached images and files" is selected, then click "Clear now".
- Disable add-ons: Sometimes, add-ons or extensions in your browser can interfere with web-based applications like Outlook. Try disabling any add-ons or extensions you have installed and see if that resolves the issue.
- Try a different browser: If the issue persists, try accessing Outlook in a different browser to see if the problem is specific to your current browser.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, please let me know and we can explore other options.
Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you,
Vince
