Missing emails from folder

I booked a holiday on 25/01/2024, and added all holiday booking confirmation, and flight details emails to a folder. I checked a few weeks ago, and the emails were there, all 4 of them, but I've looked today, and they're not there. The folder is empty. I managed to find one of the emails in my inbox by using the search bar, but can't seem to find my outgoing flight information. Checked all the folders, but can't understand how they've disappeared from the folder I put them in.

I also forwarded these emails to a friend, but there doesn't seem to be anything in my Sent folder either.

Panicking now as I can't find my flight details!

    Hi Garcia,

Thanks for the reply. Accidents definitely happen, but I've checked the Deleted folder as well as all the others. I only have a few rules, and checked through them, and it's definitely not that either.

Funnily enough, when I start typing the subject of the email, the email address comes up in the search box, but then when I click on it, nothing comes up for it.

I followed the instructions regarding contacting support, but when I clicked on the link you posted, I couldn't see a Contact Support or get to a live chat. If you could help me with some more instructions on how to get through to a live chat, that would be great.

    Thanks in advance

    Miss KG

    Hi Miss

Hello! I'm Garcia, and I extend a warm welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum! This platform is a user community, and like you, we are all users here. While we aim to provide assistance and exchange insights, it's crucial to understand that this forum is dedicated to user support. We do not have access to user accounts, which does not substitute for Microsoft Support.

I understand the urgency of your situation. It can be incredibly frustrating to have important emails seemingly disappear. Here are some additional steps to try:

Start by checking your Deleted Items folder in Outlook, even if you didn't delete them intentionally, things can be moved there by accident.

Access your email from a web browser or your phone to see if the emails are visible there.

Check if any rules are automatically moving emails to unexpected folders, or even deleting them --- Settings > Mail > Rules.

Do you have an Archive folder set up? It's possible they were moved there.

Have your friend check his/her inbox, so the email can be forwarded back to you.

If you are unable to locate the emails using the above methods, consider reaching out to Outlook support for further assistance. You can directly engage with Microsoft Support by following these steps:

Open your browser and go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/ Provide a brief overview of the issue you're encountering. Double-click the "Contact Support" button located at the bottom of the page. Sign in to your Microsoft account and follow the on-screen instructions to connect with a live Microsoft support agent.

Let me know how these steps go!

Let me know if I can help further.

    Best regards, Garcia
