Hello - question - does this license work for Educational customers/tenants such as A1/A3/A5? Going Education to Education for example?

    Hello Eleni Constantinou

    Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately we cant see any Cross Tenant User Data Migration in the page you asked me.

Cross tenant migration addon is available AS A SEPARATE purchase for 365 business etc

BUT I CAN BUY IT. I don’t see it in available products.

    Hi Ini Nkanga,

    Good day.

Thank you for posting to the Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist.

When migrating OneDrive data from an old tenant to a new one, the Cross Tenant User Data Migration add-on is essential. Here are the steps to address this:

    Licensing:

    • As of November 2022, the Cross Tenant User Data Migration add-on is available as an add-on to specific Microsoft 365 subscription plans for Enterprise Agreement customers. It is required for cross-tenant migrations.
    • User licenses are per migration (one-time fee) and can be assigned either on the source or target user object.
    • This license also covers OneDrive for Business migration.
    • If you need further details or assistance, I recommend contacting your Microsoft account team.

    Adding the License:

    • Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center with your admin credentials.
    • Go to the Billing > Purchase services page.
    • Scroll down to the Add-on subscriptions section and select Cross Tenant User Data Migration.
    • Choose the number of licenses you need and click Buy Now.

Remember that this add-on ensures a smooth and secure migration of OneDrive data between tenants

I hope this helps let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.

    Best Regards
