Hello,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.
I understand that you want to recover your emails. If it is not permanently deleted. You can attempt the steps below if this is a Microsoft email domain (@live.com, @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, or @msn.com). If this isn't associated with the Microsoft email domain, you can try contacting your email server provider to find out how to get the emails back
If your child accessed your emails and you did not notice the word permanently destroyed. We advise you to attempt the following two techniques listed below:
Solution 1: You can attempt to retrieve emails that were erased during the last thirty days by using Outlook webmail's "Recover deleted items" option. This is how to get to it:
- Sign in to your Outlook.com account through this link: Mail Outlook (live.com).
- Go to the Deleted Items folder.
- Click on "Recover deleted items" at the top of the page.
- Select the emails you want to recover.
- Click on "Recover" at the top of the page.
In the event that none of your lost emails are kept in such folders. One option would be to use an Outlook add-in for mail recovery.
Solution 2: Let me just warn you! It would be a nice try, but there's no guarantee that any of your lost emails would be recovered.
- Open any email from Outlook.live.com and on the right side click on "..." and select Get Add-ins.
- Next, search for "Email Recovery" by Brian Hughes and look for this icon and select it.
- You will be viewing the information about the add-in. Make sure that you read and agree to the License terms and Privacy policy. Then hit Add.
- Close for the add-in store prompt.
- Click the three dots and look for the Email Recovery on the selections.
- Finally, you may now start recovering emails.
You will no longer be able to recover the permanently deleted emails if those two processes were unable to find the emails you were looking for.
