Outlook Despair....

I have both a Microsoft and an iCloud email account which I want to use in Outlook.

I can add the Microsoft account without issue, using my Microsoft Account email address and password. Simple.

I can't do the same with my iCloud email account because I keep getting authentication errors.

Using the iCloud account login password: Fail

Using the generated app-specific password for Outlook: Fail

Using the interim password I set up when porting my domain over to iCloud: Fail

Now I've run out of ideas.

Apple Support were next to useless and blamed Microsoft. Microsoft were slightly better, but blamed Apple.

I tried a 3rd party email client. (Thunderbird) and was able to add my Microsoft Account without issue, but not my iCloud account - authentication error.

What is clear to me is it's a password issue, but if the three I have won't work, which password should I use?
