Thank You for you answers. I have an option to "use tighter spacing" for messages but not for folders. I have looked in other places but can not find it. I am using Microsoft 365. I'll just use it as it is with the spacing not tight.

    THANKS AGAIN. Stanley

I actually do not want to hide the folder pane. I should have ask how to "use tighter spacing". I know I can use tighter spacing between the email messages but was wanting to use tighter spacing (or compact) the list of folders and subfolders.

    Thanks for your answer.

    Hello AVONEK,

To use tighter spacing for the list of folders and subfolders in Outlook:

    1. Click on the View tab at the top of Outlook.
    2. Look for the Folder Pane options.
    3. Choose 'Options' or similar to find spacing settings.
    4. Select 'Use Tighter Spacing' or a similar option to compact the folder list.

If the 'Use Tighter Spacing' option isn't available, you might be using a version of Outlook that doesn't support this feature, or it may be located under a different menu in the settings. The exact steps can vary based on the version of Outlook you're using.

    Thank you, Ibhadighi

    Hello AVONEK,

I'm Ibhadighi and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

To compact the subfolder list in the Folder Pane in Outlook:

    1. **Navigate to the Folder Pane**: Look at the left side of your Outlook window where your folders are listed.
    2. **Use the Arrow**: Hover over the top of the Folder Pane to find a small arrow icon pointing left or right.
    3. **Click the Arrow**: Click this arrow to toggle the Folder Pane view between compact and full view.

This should hide or show your subfolders, making the Folder Pane look more compact. If you specifically want to collapse the subfolders within a main folder, you can click on the arrow next to the main folder to toggle the display of its subfolders.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards, Ibhadighi
