Account Verification Text Doesn't Work

I'm trying to add an email alias to my Outlook.com account. It requires account verification and although it shows the correct text number, I'm not receiving texts to verify. I got locked out of my account for 30 days a few months ago after cloning my HD and I don't want to go through that **** again. How do I get the account verification text to work?

    Hello! Saidas(2)

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community

It seems to me that you're having trouble receiving the account verification text to add an email alias to your Outlook.com account. Just to set your expectations that Microsoft accounts are managed by an automated server in which we do not have any manual access to this, and we have limited tools for checking your account and subscription details in Community. As Microsoft takes privacy and security very seriously.

    Allow me to ask:

    1. What error message are you getting?
    2. Do you still have access to your security methods added into your account? Such as phone number? or email address?
    3. Is this happening with other devices, browsers, and networks?
    4. Have you tried checking this link for receiving code? https://account.live.com/reputationcheck

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Make sure that your phone number is correct and up-to-date in your Microsoft account settings.
    2. Check your phone's signal strength and ensure that you have a good connection.
    3. Try restarting your phone and then requesting the verification text again.
    4. If you still don't receive the verification text, you can try using a different phone number or contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you,
