My boss allowed me to see all her emails in the inbox. That means, she gave me access to get inside her inbox (File -> Open and Export -> Other User's folder), however, every time I try to log in into her inbox folder, Outlook freezes and can no longer work and I have to restart it. What is exactly the issue? She has a lot of emails.

    Hello Nathalie,

    Good day!

I understand that you are having an issue accessing another user's folder. Based on your description, it's possible that the issue is related to the large number of emails in your boss' inbox. When you try to access her inbox, Outlook may be struggling to load all of the emails at once. You can monitor the outlook memory usage in the task manager (right-click theStart button*, or anywhere on thetaskbar, to access the Task Manager shortcut*) and check if there is a spike when you try to open the folder.

You may as well add the mailbox as an additional mailbox to add it to your Outlook profile. and check if there is any difference. Ref: Manage another person's mail and calendar items - Microsoft Support

    1. Click File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
    2. On the Email tab in the list, click the Exchange account type, click Change, and then click More Settings.
    3. On the Advanced tab, under Open these additional mailboxes, click Add, and then enter the mailbox name of the person whose mailbox that you want to add to your user profile.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best Regards,

    Ashraf.
