I have a program that will be sending an email by using MAPI which will be calling the function MAPISENDMAIL/MAPISENDMAILW . There is no issue when i am using the existing outlook. The new email dialog able to prompt successfully.
However, when i click on the "Try the new Outlook" at the top right of existing outlook. A new outlook application with new interface will be launch. Then i go back to my program to send email, it failed and the error code return by the MAPISENDMAIL/MAPISENDMAILW is MAPI_E_FAILURE. No issue after i switch back to the existing outlook
My question is does the MAPISENDMAIL/MAPISENDMAILW not supporting the new outlook?

Is there any plan for the new outlook to fully support the MAPI? is there any alternative or workaround for this issue?
Hello Lee
Thank you for posting in Microsoft community.
We apologize for the inconvenience. As of now, the new Outlook does not fully support MAPI automation. While you can add a MAPI
mail account to it, automating the new Outlookfrom an external program using the MAPI interface is not currently possible.
While these features enhance the overall Outlook experience, direct MAPI automation remains a gap in the current version. If you have specific requirements or feedback, I recommend you submit your valuable feedback directly to Microsoft product development team by posting on Ideas · Community (microsoft.com) for feature consideration.
Please feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance from our side, we will be happy to help you further.
Sincerely,
Bertrand
