Out of now where on my android device Gmail continually saying credentials needed for my Microsoft account. When I click the notification from the drop down menu it will open my Outlook app and displays my email address and there is a send notification button, when I click that it then sends a notification to my cell phone (the device I'm using and having the issue with) and then wants me to confirm a number from 3 or 4 choices. When I verify by clicking the proper number nothing happens and the notification is still there. Why does this keep happening?

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community.

I realize that you've encountered a problem with Microsoft account ,and I unstand how you feel.

But there are a few things to confirm.

You are logging in to your Microsoft account on your mobile device, and the software requires credentials. Or say you received an email saying you need to provide credentials.

If it's the former, please explain the application you use to log in to your Microsoft account.

If it is the latter, and you have not actively requested to update your credentials, you need to be aware that your account may be used abnormally.

In order to ensure the security of your account, you can go to Microsoft's official website to reset your password.

Or add two-factor authentication to keep your account secure.

If you have two-step verification turned on, here is an important tip you need to pay attention to.
