Multi factor authentication

Question

I have an azure global administrator and has 1 phone number registered as a multi factor authentication.

How do i have another phone number register for the same azure global administrator account??

Since you already have the MFA enabled for you can set the Secondary/Alternate Phone Number for MFA by following the steps mentioned below:

To add a secondary phone number:

1. Sign in to https://myapps.microsoft.com
2. Select your account name in the top right, then select Profile.
3. Select Additional security verification.
4. On the Additional security verification page, check the box next to Alternate authentication phone.
5. Enter your secondary phone number in the text box.
6. Select Save to save your changes.

And yes, if the Primary Phone Verification is not available, you would need to manually select the option "Use a different verification option" to use the Alternate Phone for the verification.
