Accidentally pressed empty folder on archive folder but files were not moved to deleted as the popup said

I accidentally right clicked on the archive folder in outlook in my browser (outlook.live.com) and then pressed empty folder. I meant to do this on the spam folder which was right above it.

I could still notice after I had pressed that the popup did say that the files would be moved to trash, I checked trash but the files were not there.

Is there any way to recover these files?

    Note, I am a user like you, this is a user forum and not Microsoft directly.

    I need to inform you that if there is only one other place to check, if the mails are not there then I am sorry I do not have any troubleshooting steps more.

    Open the email on the web (outlook.com), then go to deleted items, then you will see a link called, recover deleted items in the deleted items folder.

    Click that link, recover deleted items, and see if you can see the emails there.

    If you cannot see them there, then I am sorry, and I apologise for not having any more troubleshooting steps to offer other than the ones above.
