Microsoft Authenticator - Can't Access Email

Hi,

My Microsoft was automatically logged out on my laptop. The time I was trying to reaccess it it is now asking to use authenticator since they send code to my mobile number. As far as I can remember I haven't registered it to anything yet.

What is also weird is that I can easily log in on my phone without using an authenticator but if I use my laptop it's a struggle.

Can you helppppp :(

    Hello Katherine,

Thank you for writing to us here in the Microsoft community.

I understand that you are having problems with your Microsoft Authenticator app. There are many possible reasons as to why that happened.

I just want to ask a few questions as to narrow down the problem. It is important to answer this to provide more detailed troubleshooting steps.

    1. Can you post a screenshot about your issue?
    2. Can you share what type of email domain you are using?

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help resolve your solution:

    1. Clear your browser cache: Your browser cache stores temporary files, images, and other data from websites you visit. Clearing your cache can help resolve issues like slow loading pages, broken images, and other display issues.
    2. Disable browser extensions: Browser extensions can sometimes cause issues with your browser. Try disabling all extensions and see if the problem persists.
    3. Update your browser: Make sure you have the latest version of your browser installed. Outdated browsers can cause compatibility issues with websites.
    4. Reset your browser settings: If none of the above steps work, try resetting your browser settings to their default values. This will remove any custom settings or preferences you have set, but it can help resolve issues with your browser.

Let me know if the issue persists, and we can have other options.

I hope you find this information helpful.

    Regards,

    Michael Jr.
