Hi,

I've been using outlook with multiple calendars for years. Today all had all been unticked except for the generic one. When I tick the calendar to appear, it comes up with the following error message:

The set of folders cannot be opened. An unexpected error has occurred.

MAPI was unable to load the information service C:/programData/Apple inc/icloud/outlook/aplzod.dll Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured.

I've tried logging off icloud & signing in again, restarting the computer etc. Help.

I use the microsoft 365 business & am up to date. I also have windows 11.

    Hi Karen Mansell,

Thank you for vesting Microsoft Community, we are glad to assist you here.

Based on your post, we understand you are having issue with you iCloud mailbox in Outlook.

To address this issue, kindly try below suggestions:

    1. Press Windows + R to launch the Run application. Type “regedit” in the dialogue box and press Enter. This will launch the Registry Editor of your computer.

Image 2. Once in the registry editor, navigate to the following path using the navigation pane present at the left side of the screen:

    *HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Security*

    1. Here you will find a DWORD named as “AllowUnregisteredMapiServices”. Double-click it to change its value. If there was no this key, please manually create it. Then please restart your computer.

However, if you need more assist, you can also submit a support ticket from M365 admin center, the resource there would have chance to work with you remotely. Here are the steps for your reference:

    1. Go to the admin center at https://admin.microsoft.com. If you get a message that says you don't have permission to access this page or perform this action, you aren't an admin. For more information, see Who has admin permissions in my business?.
    2. On the bottom right side of the page, select Help & support.
    3. Type a question or keyword into the text box. If you get a drop-down list, select the one closest to your question, or continue typing your question, then press Enter.
    4. If the results don't help, at the bottom, select Contact Support.
    5. Enter a description of your issue, confirm your contact number and email address, select your preferred contact method, and then select Contact me. The expected wait time is indicated in the Contact support pane.

Hope this is helpful. If there is any update or I misunderstand you, please feel free to let me know. I will continue to assist you. Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Microsoft Community
