Hello
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.
Based on your description, the following are some possible reasons and solutions:
- Clear the cache of Chrome and Firefox browsers
- Open the command prompt and refresh DNS:
Press Win+R, enter cmd, and then press Enter. Enter the following command at the command prompt and press Enter:
ipconfig /flushdns
- Check the proxy settings of the system and browser:
Open "Settings">"Network and Internet">"Proxy". Ensure that the 'Automatic Detection Settings' are enabled and the option in the' Manual Proxy Settings' is disabled (i.e. the 'Use Proxy Server' switch is turned off). For browsers, ensure that no invalid proxies are set.
- Try re enabling the IIS service and then disabling it again. Sometimes restarting the service can clear certain cache or configuration issues
- Check the Hosts file to ensure there are no error entries related to the website you are trying to access. If necessary, comment out or delete it.
- Some security software or firewalls may affect network requests. You can try temporarily disabling these software and check if the problem disappears.
I hope the information above is helpful.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.
Regards,
Jill Zhou
