Hi. I'm getting the same error "That Microsoft Account doesn't exist. Enter a different account or get a different one." The account that I'm using is correct. The steps that I've taken are:

    • Add the account to the Microsoft 365 family and send a link. It's a Microsoft account with a "Exchange Plan 1" license. No problem logging in or using the account.
    • Account receives the email and click on the link.
    • Get "That Microsoft Account doesn't exist...", which makes no sense as it must be a valid account otherwise the email wouldn't have arrived.

    Any suggestions, please?

    Hello Bharathi Gopal,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft Community, we are glad to help you.

I understand you’re facing an issue with the message “That Microsoft account doesn’t exist. Enter a different account.” To narrow down the issue you are facing, could you please provide the following information:

    1. Firstly, can you please confirm if the account you’re trying to access is a personal or a business account? This will help us determine the right approach for recovery.

    1. Check if this error appears consistently on both the desktop application and the web version. This information is crucial for troubleshooting.
    2. Can you please let me know when you first encountered this issue and if it followed any specific changes or updates to your account?
    3. If you can, please provide a screenshot of the error message. This will greatly aid in diagnosing the problem accurately.

In the meantime, here are some general steps you can take:

    1. Ensure that the email address, phone number, or Skype ID you’re entering is correct. Please double-check for any typos or errors.
    2. If the details are correct but you still can’t access the account, please use the Microsoft account recovery tool. This tool will help us determine if the account exists and guide you through the recovery process.
    3. Please consider clearing the cache in browsers. To do that, access the settings, navigate to the privacy options, and select the option to clear browsing data, including cookies and cached images and files.

We are looking forward to your response! Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day!
