Why has so much functionality been removed from the New MS Outlook for Mac?

I cannot understand why so much functionality has been removed from the so-called 'new' MS Outlook for Mac - it's a disaster!

In Legacy version, I can easily search ALL Outlook items and actually find the things I'm looking for - this seemingly isn't possible with the 'new' version.

In Legacy version, I can right-click an email and remove an attachment - in the 'new' version, this is no longer available.

In Legacy version, I can drag and drop an email to a folder - in the 'new' version, this instead copies the mail item to the folder.

What were the developers thinking here??? Did you actually check with the users what they find useful? Or just decide to change stuff without any consultation???

The 'new' version is an absolute disaster, draining my productivity, and I will NOT be using it until it's designed for actual users in a useful way.
