Automatic replies while using dark mode appear blank to other users

Question

I recently set up an automatic reply, but when others received my automatic reply, they couldn't see any body copy. It turns out it was because the font was white. I switched to light mode and reset my reply, which seemed to work (text turned back to black to other people). This has never been an issue before. There are no format settings for automatic replies so there's no way to avoid this unless I use light mode while setting up.
