Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy
Dear Harold heathcote;
Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.
I understand the importance and urgency of your account to you. I would love to help you recover your account, however, the Microsoft account recovery process is handled by a fully automated server that is not accessible to us in the Microsoft community.
Microsoft takes account security and privacy very seriously, and the account recovery process is carefully designed to protect customers' personal information from malicious activity.
Now, as your account has been requested to be locked, you may not be able to make changes to the relevant steps for the time being and are advised to wait for some time before attempting to make changes. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The relevant steps can be found at the link below:
1.Login to this link: https://account.live.com, the pop-up window to enter your password, if you can not verify your identity through the above email or phone, you can try to click on the "Forgot your password", skip to the next step, select "I don't have any of these! "to enter the account recovery window, according to the above content to fill in, if you have filled in but can not be verified through;
- If your account has been locked due to unusual activity detected by the system, you can visit this link to get more information about it: Account has been locked - Microsoft Support
- If your account has been locked due to an incorrect password, you can access and follow the steps in this link to recover your account: I can't sign in to my Microsoft account - Microsoft Support
Below is the window I found for you for account issues, you can also try contacting them while you're at it:
- Open the website: Contact - Microsoft Support (Option to use right-click copy hyperlinks to run in Edge).
- In the "We're here to help" box, type MSA, click "Get Help," and then click "Contact Customer Support" at the bottom. (You must be signed in to your Microsoft account, otherwise you can follow step 3 to do so.)
- In this section, you need to sign in to your personal Microsoft account.
Note: Only personal MSA can be used to log in, company account login cannot display the correct content. If you can't sign in, you can use another account or create a new one.
- Select "Other Products" under Products and Services, select "Account Login Issues" and click Confirm.
- Select "Chat with Support Specialist in Web Browser" to enter the chat window.
Thank you for understanding.
We hope the above steps can help you, if you don't understand or have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Best regards.
