New Outlook for Mac – reduced functionality

I am frequently the recipient of long rambling email threads where vital information can end up under an unrelated subject line and the information can be tricky to relocate.

Before the obligatory upgrade to New Outlook for Mac (Version 16.83.1) I was able to edit the subject line of a received email, or highlight sections of the content, to make the topic more easily searchable.

Why is this no longer possible, and how can this be considered an improvement?

    Dear JamCo_57

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I know your consult.

The ability to edit the subject line of a received email or highlight sections of the content is not currently available in the new version of Outlook for Mac. However, you can still search for specific keywords or phrases within the email using the search bar at the top of the Outlook window. Additionally, you can use the "Categories" feature to label and organize your emails for easier retrieval.

I know sometimes it is really inconvenient for users. I can understand your mood. Thanks for bring this to Microsoft Community. Since I think your idea is really constructive.
