Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
Hello David,
I'm Ibhadighi and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.
Transferring your Outlook calendar events to a new computer can be done in a few steps. The method varies depending on the type of account you use:
- Export Calendar from Old Computer:
Open Outlook on your old computer. Go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export. Choose "Export to a file" and click "Next." Select "Outlook Data File (.pst)" and click "Next." Highlight "Calendar" from the list (ensure you choose the correct calendar if you have multiple calendars). Click "Next." Choose a location to save the exported file, give it a name, and click "Finish." You might be prompted to set a password for the .pst file, but you can skip this by leaving the fields blank and clicking OK. Transfer the .pst File to the New Computer:
Use a USB drive, email, cloud storage, or any other method to transfer the exported .pst file to your new computer. Import Calendar to Outlook on New Computer:
- Open Outlook on your new computer. Go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export. Choose "Import from another program or file" and click "Next." Select "Outlook Data File (.pst)" and click "Next." Browse to the location of your transferred .pst file, select it, and click "Next." Choose the option "Import items into the same folder in:" and select your Outlook profile from the dropdown list. Click "Finish." The calendar events should now be imported into Outlook on your new computer.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards, Ibhadighi
